MPISD Receives Grant for Non-Skid Shoes
Cafeteria Workers Benefit
Mount Pleasant Independent School
District is the recipient of a grant from Claims Administrative
Services (CAS) to purchase non-skid shoes for every cafeteria
worker in the district. The shoes will help maintain a high safety
level in district school cafeterias.
The district’s “cafeteria ladies” were thrilled with the shoes, according to Judi Saxton, district public information officer. “Good, safe, comfortable work shoes are not inexpensive. We as a district were pleased to receive this grant and to use it to provide good work shoes for a very important part of our workforce.”
